Tigrinya speakers reside in the Three central highland provinces of Akele-Guzai, Hamasien and Serae.Their language is Semitic and derives from the Ancient Ge'ez. They are mostly Coptic Orthodox Christian, a religion they share with
Ethiopian Christians. However, there are also converts to Roman Catholicism and Protestantism,

Tigrinya speakers share their language with the population of Tigray the northern Ethiopian province.....CHRISTIAN Ethiopian empires prohibited JIBERTI MUSLIMS from owning land and they therefore CONCENTRATED ON CRAFTS AND TRADE, FORMING THE MERCHANT CLASS IN THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS, WHERE MANY OF THEM BECOME PROSPEROUS.
THEY HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND RARELY MARRY OUTSIDE OF IT
