While not downplaying the argument that ruling a country in an extended state of emergency is not a sign of strength or power, it is undeniable that the war between the Federal government and TPLF, and the ongoing war in the Amhara and Oromia regions have has helped Abiy Ahmed’s administration to consolidate power. Yet, the administration does not have absolute control over much of Ethiopia.
